!! Welcome Back to the OPL !!

It's our pleasure to bring back the Okanagan Premier League for another scintillating campaign featuring the best football in the region, unparalleled to any other tournament of its' kind here in the heart of the Okanagan Valley. For years, the OPL has developed into the cornerstone of football that it is today, with matches so highly contested there are social media controversies. Pundits are starting to calling the behind-the-scenes antics jaw-dropping with some of the clubs building a real identity with passionate fans always coming back for more. What will the 2024/25 season have in store? Let's get to the chase;

The Master's [O-35] Division will be back during its' Signature Sunday Nights with matches from 5:00pm or 6:00pm to 9:00pm fixtures each week starting in October when the Rutland Dome gets put back up (tba). All teams from last year get first priority on registration. Holders, Franco's Kelowna City F.C. have a major target on their back after a 3-peat of the League Championship in the 24' edition. Other squads are bolstering their depth to be able to contend with K-City, who are currently contending in the mid-table of the KMSL

Our Inaugural Over-45 Division will be looking to take off this year. Either on Friday or Saturday evenings, we are waiting from Kelowna United F.C. to hear about available time in the domes to kick off our (6) team league. Stay tuned as we will update progress weekly but are accepting pre-registration starting August 15th for all of our leagues.

Early word for the Premiership (Div.I) & Championship (Div.II) Divisions are as such. With a projected low number of Premiership team registrants we are preliminarily preparing for a single, combined division for this season. The division would be weighed on Div.I teams playing each other more than Div.II teams. The OPL will branch divisions apart if the Premiership successfully acquires (6) clubs for the upcoming season. With that being said, as you register please confirm which Division preference your club has. If the OPL combines divisions, players WILL NOT be able to play for more than one club in the league.

Match days will stay true with the Premiership being Monday & Wednesday, Championship being Tuesday & Thursday with one match on Wednesdays. The season will begin in October once the Rutland Dome is up and running (tba). Our finest officials have the rulebook are are reviewing changes going into this season. Number of matches for the season will depend on if we combine Divisions or not and will be around (15-18) matches for the regular season with our Winter Break as usual which will be held over (3) weeks over the Christmas period. Playoffs will take place with 4-6 teams qualifying depending on number of teams in the division.

Pre-Register your team in the Okanagan Premier League by emailing us your team name, manager name, contact information and Division preference of your team and we will send a deposit invoice where you can secure your spot. First come first serve. We will be accepting up to 8 teams in Master's, 6 teams in Premiership & Over 45s. We will be accepting 12 teams in the Championship. Any other questions or enquiries can be sent to okanaganpremierleague@gmail.com
