Happy Holidays, the OPL Enters the Winter Break

All of our leagues had some exciting action and results to finish the 2023 portion of our fifth season. The shape of the Premiership table was consistent on match day 9 with Kelowna United F.C., HDC Peachland and Glory Days Athletics all picking up three points to pull further ahead of the Okanagan squads and Midtown. The player statistics also show very close races in our Golden Boot, Golden Ball and Golden Glove categories. Be sure to check out the numbers in the 'player statistics' section.

The Master's Division is also holding true to form with Acera and Kelowna City collecting another three points in match day 10. Primo edged JVL with a well rounded effort by the squad for the 6-3 victory this last Sunday. Acera F.C. has been exploding the onion bag over the last weeks with several of their players in the top ten goals standings in the division.

The drama continued in the Championship Division with our Match of the Week resulting in DMA edging the Young Boys of Rutland in penalties for the extra point to get back on track. Sterling Mutual continue their title-winning form in another victory, this time against F.C. Play it Again. The OPL wants to send Grenfell United a congratulations on their first points in the division with a penalty shootout victory over the African Giants. The middle of the table is jammed right up in the Championship and anyone can still take hold of playoff spots.

The Okanagan Premier League wishes all of our players, management and fans an immaculate holiday season. The work from each and everyone of us to make the league happen does not go unnoticed and we are over the moon at our progression in the football community of Kelowna. We hope nothing but the best for you and your families and are looking forward to some time off with some mead and pretels in front of the holiday fire.

Enjoy the Break, The Okanagan Premier League
